Gaylord Texan Resort

A visit to the Gaylord Texan Resort will get you in the Christmas mood for sure! The resort is decorated with over 2 million twinkling lights and 15,000 ornaments. Guests will see live ice carving and even an 8-foot Gingerbread house!

Other attractions at this location include a 54 ft tall tree and snow tubing slides! If you’re traveling with smaller children, this stop may be worth the whole trip!

Other Magical Events for a Memorable Christmas

The North Pole Neighborhood is grand central for visitors. Shopping opportunities are available for unique Christmas gifts and souvenirs and families can have their picture taken with Santa Claus. The photo with Santa is part of the North Pole Express train ride experience, but photo packages are available for people who don’t or can’t take the train. (It sells out very quickly. Tickets began selling way back in July!)

After a visit with Santa, the whole family can tour the historic downtown of Grapevine and see the sea of Christmas lights. Christmas displays will be everywhere in Grapevine, but none as impressive as downtown. If Christmas displays always put you in the mood, then take your family on a stroll downtown.

The Palace Theater

The local Palace Theater in historic downtown Grapevine also offers excellent live Christmas music and classic Christmas movies to watch. Film classics like It’s a Wonderful Life, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and A Christmas Carol will be featured this year in celebration of the beauty of Christmas.

The Grapevine Vintage Railroad

For those who are looking for a more mature activity for Christmas, the Christmas Wine Train offered by the Grapevine Vintage Railroad is an adult only train. The ride allows guests to enjoy good music, good company, and good wine. Santa even joins you for a relaxing and festive ride on the rails. No one under age 21 is allowed to ride, and the first glass is free!
